Need a plumber for a water leak?
Call us. We're open 24 hours, Monday through Saturday, and there's no after-hours fee.
If you have an active leak, do this while you wait for us to get there:
Shut off the water. For one fixture, use the valve on the wall or under the sink. For the whole house, find the main shutoff — usually in the garage, on an exterior wall, or in a box near the front of the property.
Shut off the water heater if hot water is involved. Turn off the gas valve, or the breaker for electric.
Move what you can away from the water.
Take photos before you clean up, in case you need to file an insurance claim.
Can't find the shutoff? Call anyway. We'll talk you through it while we're on the way.

Spot Repair, Reroute, or Replace
Most jobs start with one leak. What matters is whether that leak is the whole problem or the first sign of a bigger one. We tell you which before you commit to anything.
-
A spot repair when the leak is isolated, the surrounding pipe is in good shape, and there is no history of previous leaks. Fastest and least expensive.
-
A reroute when the leak is somewhere difficult, usually under a slab or behind finished work. We abandon that run and route new pipe through the wall or attic instead, which avoids breaking concrete. Often the right answer even when a repair is technically possible.
-
A partial repipe when one run or one section of the house has failed but the rest is sound. You replace what needs replacing without the cost of doing the whole house.
-
A whole-home repipe is needed when the pipe is failing along its length, the material has reached the end of its life, or you have already repaired the system more than once.
What we will not do is tell you the house needs repiping when a repair will hold. If a repair is the right call, we quote that. We will also say plainly when a repair is a short-term fix, so you can decide whether to spend once or twice.

Areas we service
We cover the whole Las Vegas Valley, from Summerlin to Boulder City and everywhere in between. Our office is on East Charleston, so we're usually on the central and eastern side, but we're out across the valley every day. Not sure if we reach you? Give us a call.
What Water Leak Detection Actually Involves
Leak detection covers a lot of ground, and it helps to know what is realistic.
What we do.
We confirm whether your system is losing water, which is the first question that matters. Pressure testing tells us that and whether it is on the hot or cold side. From there, we check what is visible and accessible and work back toward the source.
What we are honest about.
If the leak is buried somewhere we cannot reach without opening a lot of ground or a finished wall, we will tell you that rather than start opening things on a guess. And we do not hand you a bill for a search that didn’t find anything.
Why that matters
Knowing the system is losing water helps. It tells you the problem is real, roughly how serious it is, and what your options are. Plenty of people have paid for a detection visit and gotten less than that.
Where Water Shows Up Is Not Where It Started
Water travels. It runs along a joist, down a wall cavity, and appears a room away from where the pipe actually failed. The wet patch is where the water ended up.
A few signs the leak is somewhere other than where you see it:
Water on a ceiling with a bathroom above but no fixture directly over the stain
A damp wall with nothing plumbed behind that section
Water appearing only when one particular fixture runs
Damage below a shower, where the leak is at the valve rather than the drain
That is why we work out where the water is coming from before opening anything up.
Why Las Vegas Pipes Leak
Hard water. Southern Nevada water carries a heavy mineral load. Over years it wears at the inside wall of copper pipe until a pinhole opens. This is the single most common cause of the leaks we repair, and it is why pipe here does not last as long as the manufacturer suggests.
Soil movement. Valley soil expands and contracts as moisture changes, which stresses pipe running under and through the slab and pulls joints apart.
Thermal movement. Hot water lines expand and contract every time hot water runs. Under a slab, that rubs pipe against concrete until it wears through.
Pipe age and material. Homes from the 1960s through the 1990s with original copper are what we see most. Older central and downtown neighborhoods often still have galvanized steel, which rusts from the inside out.

Water leak repair faqs
-
If water is coming from a pipe, a fitting, or anywhere inside a wall or ceiling, yes. A supply line is under pressure, so it does not stop on its own and it gets worse. Shut the water off and call.
-
It depends on where the leak is and how accessible it is. We come out at no charge, work out what is happening, and give you a flat price before anything starts.
-
No. The visit and the estimate are free, and we offer same-day estimates in most cases.
-
If a repair will hold, that is what we quote. We only recommend a repipe when the pipe is failing along its length or you have already repaired the same system more than once.
-
We abandon the leaking run and route new pipe through the wall or attic instead. It is often the better answer when a leak is under a slab, because it avoids breaking concrete.
-
Our water carries a heavy mineral load that wears at the inside of copper pipe over years until a pinhole opens. It is the most common pipe failure we see here.
-
Not always. Water runs along joists and down wall cavities, so it can appear a room away. We work out where it is coming from before opening anything up.
-
Two worth knowing about. SNWA offers a voucher of up to $250 toward the initial leak visit or the first two hours of repair work. Las Vegas Valley Water District customers may be reimbursed up to 50 percent of the repair cost, to a maximum of $2,000, with a paid invoice and a minimum repair of $200.
-
Policies vary. Many cover the resulting water damage but not the pipe repair itself. Check your policy or ask your agent. We can document what we find for a claim.
-
A few signs point under the foundation rather than inside a wall:
A warm spot on the floor, which usually means a hot water line below
The sound of running water with everything in the house shut off
Flooring warping or lifting with no source above it
A water bill that jumped with nothing visible to explain it
That is a different job with its own approach. See slab leak repair.
