Not Sure About a Quote You Were Given?
We Will Take a Look
Plumbing problems often come with a number attached, and it is usually bigger than you expected. If you are sitting with an estimate and have no way to know whether it is reasonable, we are glad to come look at it.
✓
There is no charge for it.
✓
If the quote you got was fair, we will tell you that.
✓
There is no obligation.
✓
If you need less than you were told, we will tell you that too.
Big plumbing decisions are stressful, and most people have no reason to know what a repipe or a sewer replacement should cost. Having a second set of eyes on it should not cost you anything.

We cover the whole Las Vegas Valley, from Summerlin to Boulder City and everywhere in between. Our office is on East Charleston, so we're usually on the central and eastern side, but we're out across the valley every day. Not sure if we reach you? Give us a call.
Types of Drain Clogs
-
Grease is the main culprit. It goes down warm and liquid, cools, and hardens on the pipe wall. Food waste and coffee grounds build on top of it.
-
Hair, soap scum, and toothpaste. Our hard water makes soap scum worse, because minerals bind with soap into a residue that sticks to pipe.
-
Hair and soap scum, usually near the drain or the trap.
-
Usually something that should not have gone down. Wipes are the most common, including the ones labeled flushable.
-
Sediment, debris, and dried out traps.
-
Grease, roots, scale, or a structural problem. This is the one that affects the whole house.
Keeping Drains Clear
Do not pour grease down the kitchen sink. Let it cool and throw it away
Run cold water while the disposal runs, which keeps fats solid so they flush through
Use a hair catcher in showers and tubs
Flush only toilet paper. Wipes do not break down, whatever the packaging says
Run water in guest bathrooms occasionally so traps do not dry out
A water softener helps, because scale buildup narrows pipe over time
One Slow Drain or All of Them?
This tells you a lot about what you are dealing with.
One fixture is slow
The clog is likely in that fixture's trap or branch line
Usually a straightforward cleaning
The service normally covers it
Several fixtures are slow or backing up
Points to the main line
Especially if the lowest drain in the house is the one flooding
Needs a camera before anyone starts clearing, because roots, a belly, or a crack all look the same from above
A useful test: run water in a sink upstairs and watch the lowest drain in the house. If water comes up there, the problem is the main line and not the fixture.
Don’t wait for a bigger problem.
Our drain cleaning process
When Snaking Is Not Enough
Sometimes a cleaning is a short-term fix, and we would rather say so.
Snaking is enough when:
It is a one-off clog
One fixture is affected
The line is otherwise in good shape
You likely need more when:
The same drain clogs every few weeks or months. Snaking clears a path through the buildup but leaves the buildup. Hydro jetting removes it
Roots are in the line. They grow back
The camera shows a belly or a crack. No amount of cleaning fixes slope or structure
If we clear your line and think it is going to come back, we will tell you why rather than let you find out on your own.
Drain Cleaning faqs
-
$125 for a standard drain cleaning, quoted before we start. If the line turns out to need more than a cleaning, we will tell you before doing anything further.
-
Most straightforward clogs are cleared within an hour. Main line work takes longer, especially if a camera inspection is needed.
-
We would rather you did not. Chemical cleaners rarely clear a real clog, they corrode pipe from the inside, and they make the line hazardous for whoever opens it. If you already have, just let us know.
-
Repeat clogs usually mean buildup on the pipe wall rather than a single obstruction. Snaking clears a path through it, but the buildup stays. Hydro jetting removes it down to the pipe wall.
-
That usually points to the main line rather than any one fixture, particularly if the lowest drain in the house is the one flooding. It is worth a camera inspection before anyone starts clearing.
-
No. Same price whatever time you call, Monday through Saturday.
-
A clog itself usually does not, but standing water and repeated aggressive clearing on an old or brittle line can. That is one reason we look at what caused it rather than just clearing it.
-
Drain cleaning uses a mechanical cable to clear the blockage. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour the buildup off the pipe wall. Cleaning for a one-off clog, jetting for recurring problems, grease, scale, or roots.
