Primm, Nevada, is known for its hot summers and mild winters. Even though the rising temperatures are attractive to those who live there, most residents need time to adjust to the hot weather. Much like people, residential and commercial properties’ plumbing systems also need some adjusting.
The hot temperatures and the harmful UV rays cause all external plumbing elements to deteriorate faster, making them prone to damage such as leaks and breaks. A single pipe burst can cause hundreds of dollars worth of damage to any property. This is why it’s essential to protect them once the hot summer arrives.
Primm residents also encounter other issues such as low water pressure and clogged drains. When debris, sand, dirt, or food particles get stuck in a pipe, they prevent the water from traveling freely. This results in clogs and lower water pressure. The problem can be smelly during summer and cause a lot of hassle. That’s why regular plumbing inspections are essential throughout the year, especially during the summer season.
Another common issue across Primm households is leaky pipes. This causes tremendous water waste and can make the water bills skyrocket. In addition, the stress on pipes during swimming pool filling, garden hoses, and sprinklers often makes them more prone to leaks.
Home- and business-owners in Primm rely on regular plumbing inspections and services to prevent these nuisances from turning into expensive and property-threatening issues.
Primm, NV
Primm is an unincorporated town in Clark County, Nevada. It was first named State Line due to its location, which straddles Interstate 15 where it crosses the border between Nevada in California. This town also sits on Ivanpah Dry Lake, extending to the north and south of the community.
State Line was renamed to Primm in 1996 to avoid confusion with a northern Nevada town called Stateline. The community was renamed after the town developer Ernest Jay Primm.
This area is best known for its three casinos forming the Primm Valley Resorts, which attract gamblers worldwide. The resort is especially interesting to those who often make a stop here before reaching Las Vegas. Due to the high popularity of casinos, most Primm residents work in the casino industry.
The town has a population of just over 1,200 people. The SCORE International has been hosting annual off-road races here called Terrible SCORE Primm 300 since 1996. It also hosts the World Off-Road Championship, two Motocross rounds, as well as ATV off-road racing.
Primm is home to the Bonnie and Clyde Getaway Car. This is the vehicle that the duo was in the day they were killed after being chased by police. It can be seen in the Whiskey Pete’s Hotel & Casino.
